Julie joined the Brussels bar in September 2021. She specializes in privacy and data protection law. She holds a Master's degree in law from the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). As part of her master’s program, she studies a semester abroad at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. She also holds an LL.M. in European law from the University of Maastricht (UM). She speaks Dutch, English and French.
Julie contributed to the publication of BDDB ‘Data Protection’ together with Anouk Focquet and Sofie Deprez. She assists major clients in their GDPR compliance audits. Additionally, she also provides hands-on advice on different GDPR matters. She has gained experience in cookies, direct marketing, online advertising, data breaches, etc. Furthermore, she hosts a compliance program to educate businesses on (the importance of) their GDPR compliance.
