Annemie advises clients on European and Belgian competition law matters, in particular focusing on horizontal agreements, cartels, abuse of dominance and merger control. She is involved in competition law cases before the Belgian Competition Authority and the European Commission, as well as in Belgian court proceedings related to competition law. In addition, she has been assisting clients with more general commercial law matters (such as market practices and contracts).
Annemie started her career at contrast. She joined the Faros team in 2022.
Annemie is a member of the Brussels bar.

Annemie holds a bachelor and master’s Law degree from the Catholic University of Leuven (KU Leuven) and also obtained an LL.M. in European Competition law and Regulation from the University of Amsterdam. During her studies, she took part in a summer school on business law at the Catholic University of Portugal in Oporto and spent a semester at the University of Montréal in Canada as part of an exchange.
Annemie is co-author of a practical handbook on Belgian competition law in the “Bos door de bomen” series. She is also co-author of the Horizontal Toolbook regarding the new EU legislation on horizontal agreements (2024).
